Soft or Soggy Leaves

This can be caused by overwatering

The plant is being suffocated with too much water. Try not watering the plant as often and increase the light by a little.

Make sure the container it’s in has drainage as well as this can cause the water to get trapped inside.

Another cause can be that the plant has frozen over

Plants begin to freeze at temperatures below 30ºF (0ºC). If a plant has really soggy leaves and there has been a serious cold, the plant may have frozen and then thawed out.

To try and reverse this check to see if the plants roots are still intact, place in a warmer and well-lit environment.

To prevent this make sure the plant is not near any drafty or cold areas, such as near a window or by the front door during winter.
